We offer a wide variety of travel packages including adventure travel, beach vacations, cultural tours, and luxury getaways.

Yes! Let’s Build Your Dream Trip Whether you’re looking to customize a classic route or want a completely bespoke adventure, we’re here to help. You bring the vision; we’ll handle the logistics.

Our small groups of 6–10 people offer the perfect middle ground for solo travelers. You get the flexibility of independent travel paired with exclusive local access—like private winery tours or authentic Roman cooking classes—that you simply couldn't arrange alone. We handle logistics; you make the memories.

Absolutely- Yes! You can use one of our regular tours as a starting point or simply dream up your perfect trip and we’ll take care of the rest. Learn More about our wonderful, private custom tours. Reach out to our staff at: info@oldeworldtravel.com for more information!

We love solo travelers! Our small groups are naturally social, making them the perfect environment for individuals to join without feeling like an outsider. We offer a 'single supplement' for those who prefer their own private space, or we can assist in matching you with a roommate if you’re open to sharing. Our goal is to ensure you feel like part of the group from the moment you land.

We want every guest to participate fully and comfortably. Please let us know your dietary restrictions or mobility concerns during the booking process. Because of the intimate size of our groups, we can often make personalized adjustments that larger tour operators cannot. If you are ever unsure about whether a specific tour's pace or cuisine is right for you, we encourage you to please call us directly—we’d love to discuss the details to ensure a perfect fit.

Absolutely. Just let us know your needs ahead of time, and we’ll handle the rest. We coordinate with your tour leader, hotels, and restaurants so that every meal, accommodation, etc. is prepared with you in mind. You won't have to explain your needs at every stop—we'll make sure they’re already expecting you and your full time travel manager will handle all the details for you.

Our Approach to Accommodations: Staying with a Story

You won't find generic chain hotels on our tours (unless its at the airport heading home from some international airports). At Olde World Travel, we believe where you stay is just as important as where you go. We meticulously hand-select every property, favoring heritage, character, and local charm over the uniformity of global hotel chains. Think of boutique hotels, historic inns, and castle estates—like Castle Rheinfels—that offer local character and charm. Because we choose historic properties, please note that each room is often quite unique in size and layout. These venues place you in the heart of the culture. You can expect quiet, comfortable, and beautifully maintained accommodations that capture the authentic spirit of the region.

A Few Specific Notes on Your Stay:

  • Private Comfort: Every room includes a private en-suite bathroom for your convenience.
  • Climate & Comfort: In keeping with tradition, many of our historic properties do not feature air conditioning. During the peak summer months (June–August), we prioritize air-conditioned rooms whenever possible.
  • A Smoke-Free Environment: For the comfort of all our guests, all accommodations are 100% non-smoking.
  • Personalized Service: We partner exclusively with small, family-owned hotels that provide the warm, genuine hospitality that you simply won't find in large resorts.

Ready for a little extra luxury? Please ask us about room category upgrades when booking your personalized itinerary. Have questions? We're always happy to help!

Yes. Every room on our tours includes a private, en-suite bathroom for your comfort and privacy.

Because we specialize in small-group, immersive experiences, we go where large tour buses cannot. This means our days often include walking through historic city centers, medieval castle grounds, and charming local neighborhoods. We believe this is the best way to truly 'feel' the destination, but we always build in time for coffee breaks and rest.

Please be aware that many of the historic European towns we visit feature cobblestone streets, narrow sidewalks, and stairs that may not have handrails. Comfortable, broken-in walking shoes are mandatory for all Olde World Travel tours.

We prioritize a relaxed pace. If you ever feel tired or prefer to skip a specific walking activity, you are always welcome to enjoy some 'me time' at a local café or return to the hotel at your own pace.

Because we prioritize authentic, historic accommodations and off-the-beaten-path locations, you will encounter uneven surfaces like cobblestones and stairs. We recommend that guests are comfortable walking for 30–45 minutes at a time without needing a break. If you have concerns about your mobility, please reach out to us during the booking process—we are happy to provide specific details on the terrain for your chosen tour!

Because all tour deposits and payments are non-refundable, we strongly recommend that every guest purchases travel insurance. To ensure full coverage, most providers require you to buy a policy within 14 days of making your reservation.

We recommend the following providers for their excellent service:

  • Travel Guard: www.travelguard.com | (800) 826-4919
  • Travelex: www.travelexinsurance.com | (800) 228-9792
  • Generali (formerly CSA): www.generalitravelinsurance.com | (800) 874-2442

Please Note- While we do not sell travel insurance, we do strongly recommend it for ALL of our small group tours as all our tour pricing is NON-REFUNDABLE.

Definitely! We believe our travelers are our best ambassadors. If you have questions about the tour experience, just let us know. We’ll put you in touch with a previous traveler for an honest, unfiltered chat about their trip.

You may also be interested in reading customer testimonials. Please reach out to our staff and we would be pleased to share these personal testimonies with you.

Our travelers join us from all over the world, so we leave the flight booking to you. This gives you the freedom to fly your favorite airline or upgrade using points. Don't worry—we’ll provide all the pertinent schedule details you need and can gladly offer booking support if you'd like a hand.

It is recommended that you arrive 1 day prior to the tour, so that you can become well rested prior to our whirlwind vacation! We are more than happy to book your hotel stay prior to the tour, or even after the tour has commenced.

Most tours begin at 9 a.m. on the first day and will run a full day's worth of adventures! And Yes, we will schedule coffee breaks and free time throughout the day!

So, we recommend at a minimum- arriving to the airport at least 3 hours prior to the tours start time.

True boutique travel means never having to follow a flag in a crowd. We keep our groups under 10 to ensure every traveler receives personal attention and the freedom to truly connect with the local culture.

Our tours are strictly limited to 10 or less guests. We believe that small groups are the key to a transformative travel experience. By keeping our numbers low, we can bypass the 'tourist traps,' secure reservations at authentic, family-run restaurants, and move through historic cities with ease. You’ll never be 'herded'—you'll be part of a dynamic, inquisitive group that can access the hidden corners of Europe that large motorcoaches simply cannot reach."

Most places now take credit cards, and US cash. It is recommended however, that you travel with at least a couple hundred dollars in cash and either obtain Euros prior to your trip (from your bank). Or you may use any ATM machine (found throughout Europe) in order to get Euros out. These are readily found in most cities throughout Europe. Don't get funds at the airport though, their exchange rates are known to be quite high! We'll stop at a bank shortly after our Welcome Meeting!

This depends on your travel style! We suggest budgeting for personal souvenirs, alcohol not included with meals, and any spontaneous activities during your 'free time.' We can provide you with a 'spending guide' for each destination to help you estimate costs for coffee, local snacks, and museum entries.

We vet every single partner—from boutique hoteliers to our local guides—based on their passion for their craft and their commitment to sustainable, authentic tourism. We don't use 'mass-market' vendors; we partner with the people who know their local history, food, and culture best.

Absolutely. While our itineraries are carefully curated to include 'must-see' heritage sites and exclusive cultural experiences, we know that the best memories are often made when you simply wander on your own. We strive to build a balance into every day: structured guided sessions in the morning and generous, unstructured time in the afternoons or evenings for you to shop, relax at a local café, or explore at your own pace.

We believe in 'all-in' transparency. Our price covers all listed accommodations, ground transportation, curated tours, and [specific meals, e.g., daily breakfast and select group dinners]. We provide a detailed 'What’s Not Included' list for every itinerary so you can plan your personal spending money with confidence.

You can find our terms and conditions here. This information is also located on our online reservation form.

Yes. We believe in transparency and commitment. Once a tour is listed as confirmed, it will proceed as planned, regardless of group size. We know you’ve invested time and money into your vacation, and we honor that commitment!

Small group travel is inherently more sustainable. By avoiding massive motorcoaches and staying in locally-owned heritage properties, we leave a smaller footprint and ensure our tourism dollars support the local economy directly.

As an expert agency, we provide a 'Know Before You Go' briefing for every traveler, outlining passport requirements, current visa regulations (like ETIAS for Europe), and health documentation needed for your specific trip.

Your safety is our priority. Every tour comes with a dedicated point of contact. We provide all guests with an emergency packet containing local medical facilities, embassy contact information, and our 24/7 support line for the duration of your trip.
