Olde World Travel offers a wide range of travel services, including fully customized small group tours, to meet your exact specifications as well as our standard small group tours that are held throughout the year.

Booking a trip with Olde World Travel is very easy! Simply visit our website, select your desired small group travel dates and destinations, and follow the prompts to complete your booking by making a $600 deposit per person.

Olde World Travel offers a flexible cancellation policy for many of our small group travel services. Please refer to our Terms and Conditions page for more information.

We travel with small groups of six to sixteen (although most of our tours seem to max out at 10 people). This allows us the flexibility to customize each trip to your specific interests. Many have also found that it strikes the perfect balance between the planned activities and adventures of group travel and the flexibility of traveling alone. (After all, how many of us are acquainted with the owner of an amazing winery in beautiful Bavaria or know a friend eager to let our group reserve their entire villa in Provence?) 

We plan the trip of a lifetime, so that you can make it your own and not worry about a thing!

If you are interested in purchasing travel insurance, we can give you a quote prior to traveling. 

Please keep in mind that you must purchase travel insurance within a relatively short period of time (typically about two weeks) from the date you make your reservation.

That’s the real beauty of small group travel—you will never, ever have to travel alone! 

In fact, on any given tour there is usually a representative mix of many single travelers, a few close friends, family members and couples. This nice mix almost inevitably becomes a very small (intimate) group of New Friends with which to share your experiences. 

If you prefer having a room to yourself, we are more than happy to secure you a comparably sized room and will add a “single supplement” for the actual extra costs incurred. So, feel confident that you are getting a great room.

The best way to travel solo? With us! By the time your tour ends, we’re pretty sure your group will feel more like family.

Absolutely Yes! This is the heart and soul of our business. You can use one of our standard tours as a starting point or simply dream up your perfect trip (think bucket list) and we’ll take care of all the details for you!

It’s easy to reserve a place on one of our small group tours. Simply fill out a reservation formonline. We will respond within one business day to confirm availability. You may also make a reservation by Phone: 910-379-4033 or via email.
 

At the time of your reservation, we will collect some basic information about you and a deposit of $600 per person. We accept personal checks or credit cards, including Visa, MasterCard and American Express. Please make checks payable to Olde World Tours.

Absolutely. Simply inform us of your dietary requests (at least 30 days prior to our tour) and we will ensure that we pass the relevant information along ahead of time to the chef/kitchen staff. This way when you arrive, your tour leader, hotels, and restaurants will already be aware of the situation and, in many cases, have something very specially prepared just for you.

Yes. All rooms on our tours have private bathrooms. 

Because our travelers come from all over the USA, we suggest you making your own airfare. If you would prefer that we book your airfare for you, there will be a nominal fee added to the cost of your airfare. Please reach out to us for details.

We will make sure you have all the detailed information that you will need to book your tickets for the proper dates and times. 

If you would like to book tickets on your own (perhaps with airline miles) but would like us to help you make the initial arrangements, we are more than happy to help in any way we can.

Can I deviate and go early or stay later after tour?
On most of our small group tours you can absolutely add days to your arrival or departure dates from the "official tour" and we would be happy to extend hotels and arrange the details for you!

We usually limit the group's luggage to ONE LARGE BAG and ONE CARRY-ON per person. This makes it so much easier for space in the van. This also streamlines movement when you might be forced to move your own bag for a short distance, and some of the small boutique hotels we stay at don't have elevators. There are some tours where one bag is the maximum due to travel logistics.  

No. We will provide full color, destination-themed luggage tags for all of our group tours. All luggage tags are specially marked with your name. This will give you peace of mind knowing your personal bag is with our guided tour. Please leave your tag on your bag for the duration of our tour. We know you'll be proud to announce to the world, "I am a Olde World Tour Traveler!"

Where we stay is as big a part of your tour experience as the historical sites, vast cultural attractions, and stunning natural scenery you’ll encounter along the way. (Plus, our goal is to make sure that you’re plenty rested for each day’s new adventure.) Throughout your tour, you’ll rest your head in some seriously stylish, boutiques and impeccably clean hotels—many with stories of their own to tell. 

On most of our small group tours we will use 4 & 5-Star hotels. We don't choose hotels based on stars, but on direct feedback from the people who have stayed there, past traveler reviews, guides experience, etc. 

Unlike many larger tour operators, we don't choose hotels that are easy or convenient for a bus, but hotels that are quaint, boutique like and inspiring. 

Whenever possible we use smaller boutique hotel for our tours, but in some cases, for security. close proximity to our airport or simply due to the destination, boutique hotels are not always possible. 

Absolutely Not! 

Big, crowded buses full of rowdy tourists is absolutely not our thing!  How you get from Point A to Point B on your trip is just as important as what you’ll do when you get there. 

We will travel in private vans, national or regional rail, and ferry. Since our size is smaller, we can get into other areas these larger tour buses simply cannot! This is not the way we wish to travel ourselves. We do not typically stay in the big bus tour "chain type hotels" as we seek out the boutique, quaint and unusual. Most often we stay multi-nights per stop, thus allowing you to truly relax and soak up an amazing location a bit. We are here to enjoy our surroundings, not be rushed from one touristy spot to another!

All your trips are led by an experienced Tour Guide, Jen Campbell, of Olde World Travel, the owner and founder of Olde World Travel. She has over a decade of personal experience in the travel industry, lived in Europe for 6 years, led numerous European small group tours and is passionate about traveling.

You will be met personally by Jen at the airport (in the city) where the tour commences. You'll board the plane in your home city and when you land in the final destination you are in Jen's personal care! With most tour companies, you will have a different tour director/host on each new tour you book, but not with Olde World Travel. You will feel welcomed and included like being welcomed home to the familiar each time you travel with us.  Afterall, we hope you will return to our tours time and time again as our past guests/friends have become like family!

We choose to allow the local experience and passion of local guides who will bring the destinations to life. Jen will be present to coordinate all aspects of the tour, helping to make sure that you are comfortable and having a fabulous time as our guest. 

Having the owner right on your tour allows for quick decisions to be made on the spot (if needed) to help make your vacation be the best travel experience possible. 

Because we balance all tours with a formal touring schedule as well as time for your own independent exploration, you are always welcome to soak up a destination on your own as well. 

Just let your tour guide know the day before- so we aren't waiting for you to begin our daily tour. 

Going guided takes the guesswork and real stress out of travel, but we don’t think the convenience should come at the cost of your own personal independence. We'll make sure each of our itineraries includes a just-right mix of our guided tours and group meals, plus plenty of free time so you can explore your own interests at your own pace. 

Unlike many other companies, we don't sell optional tours after giving you a basic tour of an area. We feel that our tour experience should be fun, full and rewarding without the need for any extra upcharges. 

The term "Olde World Travel Family" is used in reference to someone who has been on our small group tours in the past. We hope all our guests leave our tours feeling like family. We currently have many family members who have been on our amazing small group tours over the years.  The Olde World Travel Family members receive a special notification of all upcoming trips before being released to the public online.  On most of our adventures, about 75% of our past travelers have been on one or more journeys with us before. They may not know each other, but they know Jen and automatically feel relaxed and at home. This makes for a very welcoming atmosphere for NEW travelers and removes any awkwardness sometimes present during the first few days of a traditional group tour.  This is one of the reasons we have a welcome reception prior to our tours, so we can all get to know each other in a fun, informal setting!

Yes you can. We have many past travelers who have invited their friends to come along on our tours. It's always nice to have a friend or another couple to travel with.  Our tours are people who enjoy traveling and the camaraderie of a group setting and hopefully become lifelong friends after the tour.

Of Course! We have numerous single travelers on almost every tour. Some bring friends to share the accommodations and then others travel on their own. That is the great part about group travel - once the trip gets going, nobody is alone or single anymore.  You get to know everybody and often find a possible future traveling companion on the tour. If desired, we can even try to match up singles with other singles of the same gender for accommodations.  

Single travelers who prefer independent accommodations will pay a single supplement that varies from tour to tour, but whenever possible we keep this supplement as low as possible. 

We love our single travelers! And we hope you will return time and time again!

We cannot recommend more strongly that all of our travelers protect themselves with cancellation insurance and medical coverage. We recommend, at the very least, to take supplemental travel medical coverage with evacuation coverage to protect yourself in the event of an unexpected hospital stay or need for emergency transport back to the USA. 

We have seen a couple scenarios where medical evacuation will not be dispatched without actual proof of travel medical coverage.
