  Mobile networks vary by country. To avoid roaming charges, check with your provider about international plans that let you use your domestic data, talk, and text for a flat daily fee. When connected to the internet, you can also use apps like WhatsApp or Skype to stay in touch for free.

To secure your spot on our exciting Small Group Tours, please submit a signed reservation form along with a $500 per person deposit to secure your small group tour. Keep in mind that your space is only guaranteed upon receipt of payment. 


Payment Schedule 


Once your deposit is received, you will be invoiced for the remaining balance, which is due 60 days prior to the tour's official beginning date. 


Important Policy: All tours, including our historical travel experiences with Olde World Travel, are non-refundable. While we do not provide travel insurance, we highly recommend purchasing a policy to protect your investment, especially for our Small Group Tours.

  • A valid passport is essential for all U.S. citizens planning to embark on small group tour travel experiences to Europe, including a Germany tour, or any destination outside the U.S. Ensure that the expiration date on your passport is no earlier than six months before your date of re-entry to the U.S. 


  • For those considering historical travel or an Olde World Travel experience, a visa is typically not required for short-term journeys to most European countries, making it easier to join a small group tour and explore the rich cultural heritage.

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience on your Small Group Tour, travelers must be in reasonably good health. Please notify Olde World Travel of any relevant health issues or accommodation needs prior to departure. 

Participants in our Small Group Tour should be able to: 

  1. Board and exit a minivan comfortably, participate in walking tours at a moderate pace, and climb at least one flight of stairs. 
  2. If you must opt out of a specific activity for health reasons during your historical travel experience, your guide will coordinate with you so you can rejoin the group for the next scheduled event.

Your small group tour includes :


Transportation: All ground transport as specified in the itinerary. Accommodation: All lodging for the duration of your travel experiences. 

Meals: Daily breakfast and additional meals/snacks as noted in the itinerary. 

Attractions: Entrance fees for all scheduled historical travel sites. 


Expertise: Services of professional tour guides throughout your Olde World Travel trip. 


Note on Optional Excursions: Fees for optional activities listed in the itinerary are not included. These must be paid directly to the vendor, and not to your tour guide.

The following are NOT Included in the price of your Small Group Tours with Olde World Travel: 


Travel: Airfare to and from the destination.

Insurance: Personal travel or medical insurance.

Beverages: Alcohol, wine, or beer with meals, unless specifically noted.

Activities: Any excursions or events labeled on your itinerary as 'optional,' which may enhance your historical travel experiences.

Health Costs: Any expenses or care requirements resulting from a positive COVID-19 test during the tour.

Gratuities: Tips for tour guides, drivers, and service staff during your Small Group Tour.

  •  Audit Your IDs: Check expiration dates for passports and licenses weeks in advance.
  • Create Redundancy: * Photocopy all IDs and pack them separately from originals.
    • Take clear photos of your passport/visa and store them in a secure, offline folder on your phone.
  • Museum Ready: Pack a small shoulder bag or purse for daily use, as many venues ban backpacks or large carry-ons.

Please note that transportation to the starting point of your Tour and from the conclusion of your historical travel experience is not included. small group tour travelers are responsible for their own transfers to and from the designated meeting and departure locations. This will ensure a seamless journey as part of their Small Group Tour with Olde World Travel.

 Your safety is our top priority. While we strive for seamless travel, unpredictable events like extreme weather, mechanical failures, civil unrest, or safety threats can occur. We only cancel tours based on verifiable government advisories; otherwise, we are contractually bound to proceed. If an emergency occurs during your trip, our guides will prioritize your safety in coordination with local authorities and vendors. We strongly encourage all guests to review their destination’s travel advisories before booking.

Medical Readiness & Requirements

Consult your doctor, the CDC, or WHO for required vaccinations. You must carry valid certificates for all inoculations. For your safety, rigorous tours are not recommended for those with heart disease, chronic illness, physical disabilities, or advanced pregnancy.

Illness Policy

To protect the group, guests who become ill must isolate and seek a medical diagnosis. You may rejoin the tour only with written clearance from an accredited facility. All associated costs (medical, hotels, transport) are the traveler's responsibility; keep all receipts for travel insurance claims.


Stay Healthy Abroad

  • Eat & Drink Safely: Stick to bottled water (no ice) and cooked or peelable foods. Avoid street food and raw produce in developing regions.
  • Sanitation: Wash hands frequently and carry sanitizer.
  • Supplies: Pack a first-aid kit, sunscreen, insect repellent, and enough prescription medication for the entire trip.

To ensure an enjoyable experience for everyone, we ask that you observe the following:

  • Be Considerate: Avoid strong perfumes/colognes, and refrain from talking during guide commentary or on mobile phones.
  • Smoking Policy: Smoking (including e-cigarettes/vaping) is strictly prohibited on tour transport. When outdoors, please smoke away from the group. Check local laws, as some destinations ban vaping devices entirely.
  • Respectful Dialogue: Avoid sensitive topics like religion or politics. Wear neutral attire free of political or religious messaging.
  • Privacy & Punctuality: Always ask permission before photographing fellow travelers. Please be on time for departures to avoid shortening our sightseeing.
  • Seating: All seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.
  •  Disruption: Olde World Travel reserves the right to remove any participant exhibiting abusive or disruptive behavior. In such cases, no refund will be provided. This policy ensures a respectful and enjoyable experience for all guests. 
  • Punctuality & Arrivals: Please be prompt for all meeting times to ensure the tour stays on schedule.  If you are unable to meet the group at the designated time or place, you are responsible for catching up with the tour at your own expense.
